Escape from disney

Well first i learned that you are able to take video in Disney land but they only like it if it is positive. In my opinion this makes a lot of scene because why would a company want people filming on there grounds just to be slandered by said film.

Secondly i learned that Randy Moore was able to get away with this film. He used the fair use act and didn't show anything that was copy righted and Disney could not do anything about the movie. This man has to be smart to plot this out, first off making it look like he is not filming a horror movie and second waiting in those lines to film on the rides.

Lastly i learned that Moore showed this film at a film festival. In my opinion this was a bad move, even though Disney can not sue him he should still be careful about who he messes with.

My only question is how did the employes not put two and two together and realize they were not filming a family video?

Well this week i learned that premiere likes to crash just like flash, at the worst possible times. I want to learn some new drawing techniques in Photoshop but i will just watch tutorials for that. I am happy that i get a week off of home school but i am kind of mad about all the shit going on there, but what can you do.

The Simpsons

well first i learned that Maggie's nemesis name is Baby Gerald.

next i learned that they are not going to stop making the Simpsons they still have new ideas. This is kind of shocking to me because i had thought that they had told every joke and used every reference.

lastly i learned that this was the first Simpsons short to ever be in theaters. Again this is shocking because the Simpsons has been going for so long i just thought they would have had others by now.

The only question i have left is what are they going to do with the new season?

Microphones cuz why not

First thing that i learned is that Lavaliere Microphones are also known as lapels.

second i learned that the things on the end of a boom pole is a shotgun mic

lastly i learned that more often you are better off using a cheaper mic at a closer range than a expensive mic and a long range.

In my mind all of these facts make sense and i also think it is very creative to put a shotgun mic at the end off a boom pole so you can point it down at a conversation.

the only question i have is "are these 3 types of mics the only ones that film makers use?"

bored and angry

This week i learned that people will let you down and you will have to film your entire project on Tuesday when it is due Friday after you go to work. I want to learn to be better at shading in Photoshop, but i will have to learn that on my own time. i am incredibly pissed off about having to film my project last second and having to change it completely, but shit happens. The only thing that made me happy this week was finding out my phones usb cord works with my drawing tablet so i can start inking some drawings.

here is the link to one of the tutorials i used to get better at drawing in Photoshop link

This movie better star Davque(Dave)!!!

Im going to start this blog by saying the title should not make sense, it would only make sense to a few people.

  • First i learned that fantasy is getting big in the film business and some other businesses. This is surprising to me because i never really noticed this because im so used to fantasy because of all the video games i play.
  • second i learned that D&D has made over $1,000,000,000. This is kind of shocking just because of that number. but on the other hand its not that surprising because i know its kind of popular, and i will be truthful and say i have played d&d and this article is right it has helped me inadvertently get better at math and problem solving.
  • lastly i learned that they are thinking about making a d&d movie. this makes no sense because d&d is about how different each persons experience is while playing this game. There for this will just set a guideline in peoples mind of how d&d should be.

the only question i have is for the movie would they use an actually loged session of d&d or just make it up?
  • First i learned that GIFs are one of the most popular things on the internet. This doesn't surprise me because they show peoples favorite moments in anything over and over.
  • Secondly i learned that GIFs can be use to teach, because they keep showing you the same thing over and over so you have no choice but to notice something new each time and memorize it.
  • Lastly i learned that cats are weird and should not be allowed to exist

the only question i have is what is with that cat is its jaw broken or is it just stupid?

this week i learned that always have a plan b for an actor because the first choice will let you down. I want to learn how i could take a 3d background from cheetah and put it into pro. I was happy to have finally have saved up the money to buy a cheep cannon camera. But i am pissed that i have only b roll fro my project because the person that was going to play the main character kept canceling on ms so i have to find someone who can play the main character last minute.

its a link "link"

Facts about film making

First i learned that you could make a short film cheep but not look cheep. This smart because with money you save on big things you can take a small amount of it to do stuff for the crew and actors like hiring a chef. This is good because a happy crew is is an efficient crew, which makes the movie quality sky rocket.
Second i learned that when writhing you have to think of time and cost. like how long it will take a cgi artiest to make something and how much it will cost to make that thing. That is smart because a lot of shorts do not have extensive funding so they need to spend their money on scenes that matter to the movie and not just random b roll.

Lastly i learned that no matter what tell a story. even if that story is backed up with one hour and forty five minutes of bull shit still tell a story. The story is the most important thing, it is why people go see movies.

I am just wondering if these same rules apply to fetcher length movies.

Oppinions on film making

Well first off i learned that there are a lot of people that do not like CGI, Well that is there opinion. It does not mean everyone hates it so in my eyes this article is just stating opinions not facts. Personal i love the fact that cgi is used in movies. Yes it may not look real in some movies but in others it is used perfectly. For example the movie Avatar by James Cameron, The cgi in that movie was used great and that gust added to a good story. Those two factors caused it to be one of the top selling movies ever made, so clearly it did something right. plus film makers need to relize they cannot just make a movie and than put it into a 3d formant, NO they have to start making the movie for 3d and not just making it last second.
The second and only real thing i learned from this is that the hobbit was made with 48fps and not 24 fps. that is kind of impressive just because its twice as much animating
Lastly i learned that even if someone does not like a movie format that does not stop them from going to see it in that format. I mean really if this person hates 3d and cgi that much STOP GOING TO SEE THE MOVIES IN 3D, most of the movies that come out have a 2d showing of that same movie. so why not stop seeing the movies in 3d and just complaining about it and just go see the 2d version.

the only question i have is, Why are most internet movie critics so one sided to there own views, YES movie critics movies change in how they are made get over it change happens.
