1) there were few things i liked this year, sorry. about the only thing i liked was photoshop.
2)Umm...... i would have to say the least thing i liked is that you had to rely on people, then those people would just let you down or stab you in the back and make you feel like shit.
3) I liked the photo editing thing that is posted on the wall in class, and i hated all of the psa projects with all my being
4) No not really. some of it may help but for the most part none of it helps.
5) my only comment is "WOOOO high school is over... now when can i move out of state and get away from all the people i dont want to be around". oh and another comment " the class was very informative, it just felt weird not doing any animating at all.

Why Reality TV Is the New Family TV
1) first off i learned that thirteen summers ago survive and big brother were aired. I didnt know this, i had heard of these shows but never knew that they were that old
2)Secondly i learned that ": reality TV has also become the new version, and maybe the last bastion, of primetime family viewing" why..... do families have nothing better to do then watch stupid reality TV
3) lastly i learned that most adults have limited tolerance for shows written for kids. So there letting there kids watch crap like jersey shore but not letting them watch adventure time.
my only question is when can we have good TV again

You Think Your Film Was a Challenge?
1) first i learned Aleksandr Petrov made an adaptation of Hemmingway’s The Old Man and the Sea, who knew........ i sure didnt
2) secondly i learned that Hemmingway made The Old Man and the Sea, another fact that i didnt know at all
3) lastly i learned that The Old Man and the Sea won an Oscar. wow what a shocker another thing i didnt know!
my only question is.... i can think of one... so i guess why did they make this?

Holy crap Extra credit!!!!!!!!
Well first off Is Disney stupid or something, it seems like all there doing lightly is just messing everything up and pissing everyone off. I mean really Disney you want to trade mark a holiday!?!?!?!
I think this time they have gone too far, yes they have done some bad things in the past but trying to take over the holidays! This is something companies like coke-a-cola can do with Christmas.

Week
Well this week..........was a week, i have nothing else to say, it was a bad week.
I didnt real learn anything, and there is nothing i want to learn. there was also nothing that made ma happy or mad, this week was indifferent.
I didnt real learn anything, and there is nothing i want to learn. there was also nothing that made ma happy or mad, this week was indifferent.
the movie brave and disny giving the workld the middle finger again.
1)First off i learned that the main character is based of the writers 13 year old daughter, I think that is a bad idea when dealing with Disney because the will change anything just to make a quick buck.
2) Secondly i learned that the writer tried to contact Disney, which is another dumb idea because its not like Disney is going to do anything. The would just say "this is what it is DEAL WITH IT"
3) lastly i learned that there are many people rising up against Disney for what they have done, I am not shocked at by this, people will fight for things that they feel strongly about.
the only question i have is "why does Disney not even ask the creators before making a change like this?"

6 Simple Mistakes Documentary Filmmakers Make
1) well first off i learned that if you want to recreate a past event you shouldn't use bad techniques, this makes a lot of seance because that kind of change in a film is jarring and disorientating to the viewers.
2) Secondly i learned that the sound track could make or break your film, This is good advice in my mind because no one is going to watch an interesting movie if it has annoying music going on the entire time.
3) Lastly i learned that if your filming without a vision then you shouldn't be filming at all. This is also good advice because if you have no clue of what your going to make then why would be filming already?
The only question i have is are skits helpful to making a documentary successful?

well this week i learned that Rocketdog is now one of my favorite shows. There isnt really anything i want to learn. I am happy that i should be able to finish my final project and that i get to go to the volbeat consent. There is nothing class related that is making me mad.
Warning really stupid and random, but funny Rocketdog

Standards of Living: The First Feature Film Shot Entirely on an iPad 2
1)well first off i learned that there is a movie being shot entirely on an iPad 2, I guess this is not that shocking because not all movies can be shot with the best cameras.
2)secondly i learned that this movie is about a comedian who teams up with a guy trying to teleport.........cuz why not? I dont know i just dont find that like an interesting plot.
3) lastly I learned that the writer got inspiration from the twilight zone. I guess thats ont shocking because it has been around a while and was very popular.
the only question i have is did they edit it on the iPad or just shoot it on it?

the Future of Animation..... CATBUG AND ROCKETDOG
1) well first off i learned that the people who made adventure time made cartoon hangover. Thats not that shocking because the cartoons on the cartoon hangover youtube do look similar to adventure time. this is also cool because im a fan of both while i do think bravest warriors is better then adventure time though.
here is there youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/CartoonHangover
Cat bug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc8e0ASIZyQ&list=PL2DcNkn8HAwSOiWYpgkBAas9bbArNfJl8&index=2
2)secondly I learned that Joe Murray, the creator of Rocko’s Modern Life tried to make something like cartoon hangover but failed, only posting three episodes even though he got his target amount on kickstarter.
3)lastly i learned about a kickstarter for an animated kids show from the UK. I have to say it looks really stupid from the pictures, if it does air i think it will be like most kid shows and fail.
my only question is how did they find a median in bravest warriors between random episodes and a season long story?

1) well first off i learned that there is a competition for 6 second movies. That is very interesting because you never really see competitions for movies that short, 1 minute not 6 seconds.
2) secondly learned when making a 6 second film you really need to think stuff out. This is smart because you only have 6 seconds to tell a story and impress the viewer so you need to plan well.
3)lastly i learned that you should not let your imagination stop at 6 seconds, think out an entire idea but just show a small portion in the video. this is smart because then it leaves the viewer wanting to know the entire story so you will gain popularity as a film maker.
my only question for this is where do we watch the entries?

Why Is It So Difficult to Make Cute Characters?
1) well first i learned that a cartoon character is considered cute if it fits these standers
Head large in relation to the body.
Eyes spaced low on the head and usually wide and far apart.
Fat legs, short and tapering down into small feet for type.
Tummy bulges—looks well fed.
This is not surprising because these standards have been in place seance the start of cartoons.
2) secondly i learned there are some exceptions to this rule, like WALL-E. this makes seance because it wouldn't make any seance at all if everything did follow this rule.
3) lastly i learned that If a character is too cute and sugary sweet, the audience can develop skepticism. This is a good observation because if a character seems too nice then people will not relate to in and lose interest.
Only question is why did someone wast there time thinking up all of this?

Week post
Well this week i learned that when you have a good idea DON'T CHANGE IT. i want to learn some more about after effects. This week i was happy to hand in my stop motion. But i am mad about some of the stuff im working on. All in all this was not a bad week, it had its ups and downs.
SPACE INVADERS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VczbbiRmDik
SPACE INVADERS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VczbbiRmDik
well, there going to kill us all.
1) first thing i learned is that they are making a movie that is filmed by robots. This is not a bad idea, just because the fact that the robot could hold the camera steady better than a human. But it is still a little creepy.
2) secondly i learned that these robots interview someone, and that person tells them things that they wouldn't normally tell people. But then these people go and use that in a film. Cuz this totally seems fair.
3) lastly i learned that when sending two of these bots to Fox they hoped to get an interview this the actor that plays Axe Cop this would be a good idea because due to the popularity of the web comic and the anticipation of the show people would see this film just to see axe cop.
I only have one question "Why?....... why would you make this, and who would go to see it?"

Pixar the physic of Moore’s Law
1) well the first thing i learned is that Moore's law is "Everything good about computers gets an order of magnitude better every five years". This law makes a lot of seance because if you give any form of technology ten years there is no way it wont improve.
2) secondly i learned that Moore's law has been going for almost half a century, when its creator didn't think that it would have lasted longer than 2 years. that is impressive, for something to last that much longer that even its creator expected it to last is truly amazing.
3) lastly i learned that Pixar animators waited 20 years to make the first toy story. That is really weird. but i have to give them credit they stoke with there idea and were able to make if after waiting 20 years......
The only question i have is "why did they wait the 20 years?"

week of bad things happening.
Well this week i leaned that if you have your projects filmed that you should put the footage on a computer before the card goes bad and you lose everything.......
i want to learn why a SD card would be bad at the worst possible moment.....
i was mad that i lost ALL OF MY FOOTAGE. I was happy that....... wait i wasn't happy i was mad.
Here is a link to a video that has some good effects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnuJyJBM_J4

Just when the song is out of my head.......
1) Well first off i learned that they are making a comic based off of Jonathan Coulton's songs. This is cool because he has a lot of good and creative songs that all tell a little story. seeing how much i like his songs i will most likely read this comic when it comes out.
2) secondly i learned that this comic is not only about the song code monkey it also involves many of his other songs. This is also a really good idea because it gives the story writer more material and characters to work with for the comic.
3) lastly i learned that in the comic the "code monkey" must team up with a supervillain Skullcrusher to save the girl he loves. This is an interesting twist, because in most comics the hero may team up with a villain once but this entire comic it him teamed up with skullcrusher. This is a refreshing twist from the comic book norm.
The only question i have is this going to be a web comic or an actual comic book? or both?
Disney just give up.
1) well the first thing i learned is that Katie Woodger is the one who painted that picture. I have seen it many times but till today i have never known who the artiest was. But i have to say it is a nice painting.
2) secondly I learned that Disney stole this picture and printed it on a bag. I mean really, they couldn't come up with anything them selfs. The also didnt take the time to see if someone owned it or the time to even get rid of some of the extra water marks in the blank space of the painting.
3) lastly i learned that this kind of thing happens all the time. this is kind of shocking because i thought big companies would at least have the respect to not steal from artiest that can't do anything about it.
The only question i have is" did Disney ever contact her back?"

Good news everyone!
Well before i get into what i learned i have something to say. WHY, japan this is a bad and useless idea. I mean yes it might work for some tv shows but what about shows like the walking dead?
personalty i dont want to be watching the walking dead and being able to smell the rotting zombies.
1) well first off i learned that japan is inventing smell-o-vision, what are you japan the professor from Futurama, and i already stated my opinion above.

2)secondly i learned that this invention would run off of small vials. This is also a bad idea in my mind, because if this ever becomes a house hold thing people will have to keep buying more vials just to experience the show to its fullest.
3) lastly i learned that japan got around this vial problem by making a special screen. I still find this to be a weird idea. I mean it may help blind people watch tv but thats the only good reason i can think of for what this invention should exist.
My only question is if there making smell-o-vision how long till they make the smell-o-scope?

Pointers to Improve Storytelling from someone
1) well first off i learned that you should open your story with a hook. That is what will keep the readers and or viewers attention. This is some good advise because if you have a choice between two books and one starts with a boring explanation of everything that is going to happen in the book, or a book that starts out with a fight scene and lets you figure out whats going on but gives you little hints.
in my opinion the later of the two is the better choice.
2) secondly i learned that listing the back story of a character is a bad idea. This is a smart move in my mind because the readers dont want to sit there and learn everything about the character at once they want to figure out some of it by them self. This is why it would be a good idea to give little hints to the characters past without coming right out and stating it.
3) lastly i learned that you need to use all five seances. you want the reader to believe that the world that they are reading about is real in some form of was. I personally think this is great advice but i also believe that you should show that your characters have all five seances. You should show them not just using sight but smell, hearing....ect.
The only question i have is for the writer of the article, and it would be "what would be your opinion on having multiple dynamic characters in one story?"
in my opinion the later of the two is the better choice.

well this week i learned how to make a hologram and make twins. I don't really have anything i want to learn at the moment. I was glad to be able to finish me edit things on time. But im not happy with the time travel one.

Oz is back but with a new twist.
1) well first off i learned that they are making a movie to explain the origins of the wizard from the movie the wizard of Oz. This is cool because they are taking a character that has a short part in the original movie and explaining his entire back story.
2) I learned that they used puppets to help the actor know where the cgi creations would be. This is really smart because it lets the actor know exactly where that creation is going to be so they can act around it, this in turn makes it easier on the cgi animator.
3) Lastly i learned that this movie had the third strongest opening in all of history. This is not surprising, i mean it has good animation and an original story,
I just want to know is "does this movie take place before or after the wizard of Oz?"
2) I learned that they used puppets to help the actor know where the cgi creations would be. This is really smart because it lets the actor know exactly where that creation is going to be so they can act around it, this in turn makes it easier on the cgi animator.

Filming in a blizard, cuz why not?
1) well the first thing i learned is that if you let your camera stay in the weather for 15 minutes before turning it on it wont fog as bad. this is good to know because i have had some issuers with my camera fogging up in the middle of a shot.
2) i learned that you should always have chemical hand warmers when filming in the cold, not to just to keep you warm but to keep your equipment from freezing. I would have never thought of using the hand warmers like that, so in my mind this is a really smart idea.
3) lastly i learned that when filming in the snow you should under expose your shots. This counteracts the glare of the snow. This is a really smart idea because even if you under expose the shot the reflection from the snow will make the shot look good.
The only question i have is would you bring a portable generator to charge the batteries?

Pixar's Senior Scientist explains how math makes the movies and games we love
1) well fist i leaned that Tony DeRose is the senior scientist at Pixar studios. I didn't know this before because i have never been big on Pixar movies, but it is surprising how he explains how math is used to make movies and video games. this is cool because i had never seen anyone explain it all in this way before.
2) Secondly i learned that the math that is used in the making of these things is not just for rendering it is also used to power the physics engines for 3D movies and video games. This is very interesting because this adds all the most important elements of these things like wind and gravity.
3) Lastly I learned that Merida's (from brave)hair is made of 100,000 individual elements. this is shocking because the most complex model i have ever made was just under 1000 elements and that was the entire model. the model for her hair is so detailed i am shocked that they used it.
My question is how long did it take to render a few seconds with Merida's hair under the effects of the physics engines?

its anothe week.
Well this week i learned that an art easel can be used for cool wall cut. I want to learn some more effects but i will just watch videos on them. nothing made me mad that i care to post about. the only thing that made me happy was that i found out who i can truly trust to help with my projects and who is a backstabbing jerk. All in it was a good week.
this one has some really cool effects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsyMiTx_CF8&list=SP269398EFF9B8DE81&index=25

Amid Oscars Fanfare, Visual Effects Industry Faces Difficult Times
1) I learned that the first movie on record to use effects was Trip to the Moon in 1902. I never knew this but i have to imagine that the effects in this movie must be really bad but they did pave the way for movie like avatar so i respect this movie.
2) Secondly I learned that the effect business is taking a git at the moment. People are being fired left and right. This comes as a shock to me because with every movie now a days using effects you think they would be doing well but i guess not.
3) lastly I learned that the Life of Pi, which has gone on to make more than $500 million in worldwide ticket sales. This is also shocking because up until a few weeks ago I had never heard of it, and now its making millions of dollars. I mean I never even saw an article on it and i read about new movies all the time.
My only question is what is causing the effect business to fall apart like this?

The Life of an Indian Visual Effects Artist
1) well first off I learned that work doesn't go over seas because it is lower wages it goes over seas because there the employees have no rights over there. This is not shocking because most other countries do not care about simple things like rights for workers they have bigger problems on their hands.
2) secondly i learned that in India some companies will make new workers pay them a chunk of money and they wont give that money back for a few years, but soon after hiring said workers they are fired and they lose their money. This is so stupid why would someone have to pay to have a job, that makes no seance what so ever.
3) Lastly I learned that some companies will have new workers pay a huge amount of money for the equipment that they will be using, and 9 times out of 10 the total price for that equipment is not even 10% of what the new workers had to pay. Again why would you have to pay for a job. I mean rly they why do they have to pay for the equipment if its not even going to be theirs in the end.
My only question is why is the UN and the US government letting companies get away with this?
O yeah they never do anything so disregard that question. My real question is if this is that bad why haven't the people revolted and stooped the film companies themselves.

Tips from the masters of a boring film company.
1) well the first thing that i learned is that you should not make the facial expressions of a character how you would your self but you have to think of them as a real person and think of how they would look and react. In my opinion this is smart because it adds originality to characters, It makes them there own person and not just a bit of there creators.
2) secondly i learned that you should not worry about animating the character you should animate the emotion that they are expressing. This is smart because this makes it easier for the viewer to be able to tell what emotion is being expressed.
3) lastly i learned that only make one main thing move at a time this was the viewer knows to focus on. This is also really good advice because if the viewer has no clue whats going on than they wont watch the entire video or animation.
My only question is what emotion is Jafar making in that photo?

More cgi less actors.
1) well first off i learned that the person who played Gollum, Andy Serkis does not want to be a normal actor he is fine with using motion tracking. This is cool because this lets him play any role, He could play a demon overlord or a dog. The process of motion tracking an actor and then applying there motions to a 3D model is very interesting to me because this could allow one actor to play all the parts if they wanted. This could reduce the cost for movies by a lot.
2) Next i learned that Steven Spielberg is considered to be a pioneer for using animatronic robots and cgi in his movies Jaws and Jurassic Park. I would have never guessed that he would be considered a pioneer just because he is already so well known.
3)Lastly i learned that motion tracking makes the 3D characters look more realistic. Well ok yeah that is just common sense, but i never realized that in older 3D movies the characters looked fake o soulless. I should have realized this because my favorite movie is avatar which was one of the best examples of how well motion tracking works well if you use it right. In my opinion this is true the motion tracking adds realism to the the characters.
My only question is, do actors and actresses think that this is a good idea? where they would not have to act but just sit at home and collect money.

well this week i learned that if you have a good idea for a project plan it out well. I want to learn some effects but i will watch some tutorials i know for that. I am happy about alot of things this week which is weird. But i am happy that the contest project is all planed out and we just need to wait for the props to get here and than we can start filming. Nothing really made me mad this week.
First off here is a show that i really want to watch Robots
And here is a tutorial not so robots

stuff
1)I learned that any good director should start with a tv show before a big box office movie. This is smart because directors need practice before directing a movie.
2)I learned that the guy who directed buffy also worked on the avengers. This is shocking to me because the two things are just so different.
3)lastly i learned that its not all about the ratings its about your fan base. This is important because with out fans buying merchandise your show will go under.
My only question is will the same guy direct the avengers 2?

1) well first i learned that facebook is trying to make emoticons for every emotion. I guess this is smart, i mean it gives people a simple way to show emotion on the internet.
2) i learned that Darwin was making a book that logged every human emotion. This is really cool because till now i thought he had just discovered evolution.
3) Lastly i learned that Just by using simple lines you can make good drawings that express emotion. This is really cool because it helps me with the comic im making with a friend.
My only question is How do they plan to incorporate these emoticons into face book? will there be a scroll menu or will you have to push a combo of keys to make them.

Well this week i learned the after effects like to be the only program open then it is rendering, other wise it will lag everything like hell. Nothing made me mad to mad this week, but on the other hand nothing made me happy either. So this week has just been full of indifference. I want to learn how to make a gun flash in after effects, because i have a plan to use it in my project about the year 2100 or something. but i will just watch a tutorial for that
here are a few good shorts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo2iiqYFKBk&list=SP269398EFF9B8DE81&index=15

Paper is kidnapping that guy
1)well first i learned that 2D and 3D animation can be combined to give a nice look to an animation. In my opinion this is really cool, because i combines the complex models of 3D with the complex backgrounds of 2D. This technique gives the animation a solid and well rounded feel to it.
2)Secondly I learned "Meander is a hybrid vector/raster-based drawing and animation system". This is a very innovative idea and i think we will see a feature length movie made in this in the next few years.
3)Lastly I learned something they did not state, and that is if you use a 2D background for 3D models it make the models pop and stand out. This is good because you generally want the models to be the center of attention.
My only question is how long did it take to make this short?

still don't know, still don't care
1) well first off Quentin Tarantino taught me that i should lie. Ok really This dude is a popular actor and he is going around telling people to lie, That seems like such a smart thing to do.
2)Then he taught me that everyone steals, again this dude it really looking out for his job. But in a way he is right because you should be inspired by other movies just do not copy them to a tee.
3)Lastly I learned something useful, to Jive a job your all and make it a personal experience, so your acting in more believable. This makes is smart because if you can trick your mind into thinking its real for that short time you act as if it was real and not come off as fake or acting.
I just have one question and that is did anyone ever sue him over saying he was in those movies when he was not?

Ya dun goofed Disney
Well first things first, I learned that they think this game will replace minecraft. BULLSHIT, this game is for young kids who couldn't even understand minecraft. This game will never do better than minecraft.
Secondly i learned that some gaming companies think it is smart to make people buy stupid little figures just to play as a character in a game. NO its not smart they are just using small kids because they know they will beg there parents to get every new figure that come out.
Lastly i learned that they are trying to ruin my favorite movie. Ok i know that is not true but most of the people that will play this game will have never scene "The Nightmare Before Christmas" so they will have no clue who jack, sally, and the mayor are.
My only question is why are they just copying other games? why not just be original, o wait its Disney so thats not going to happen. So my real question is why would you need a certain figure to reach a certain level?

Who knows/ who cares
Well this week was nothing more than boring, I got to work on my paper and i'm happy about that. O I also liked the movie that we watched. Um, this week Nothing really made me mad. With that it was kind of a good week. I want to learn a little more about color correction but i will just watch a tutorial on that, and i didn't really learn anything this week.

Escape from disney
Well first i learned that you are able to take video in Disney land but they only like it if it is positive. In my opinion this makes a lot of scene because why would a company want people filming on there grounds just to be slandered by said film.
Secondly i learned that Randy Moore was able to get away with this film. He used the fair use act and didn't show anything that was copy righted and Disney could not do anything about the movie. This man has to be smart to plot this out, first off making it look like he is not filming a horror movie and second waiting in those lines to film on the rides.
Lastly i learned that Moore showed this film at a film festival. In my opinion this was a bad move, even though Disney can not sue him he should still be careful about who he messes with.
My only question is how did the employes not put two and two together and realize they were not filming a family video?

I am happy that i get a week off of home school but i am kind of mad about all the shit going on there, but what can you do.

The Simpsons
well first i learned that Maggie's nemesis name is Baby Gerald.
next i learned that they are not going to stop making the Simpsons they still have new ideas. This is kind of shocking to me because i had thought that they had told every joke and used every reference.
lastly i learned that this was the first Simpsons short to ever be in theaters. Again this is shocking because the Simpsons has been going for so long i just thought they would have had others by now.
The only question i have left is what are they going to do with the new season?

Microphones cuz why not
First thing that i learned is that Lavaliere Microphones are also known as lapels.
second i learned that the things on the end of a boom pole is a shotgun mic
lastly i learned that more often you are better off using a cheaper mic at a closer range than a expensive mic and a long range.
In my mind all of these facts make sense and i also think it is very creative to put a shotgun mic at the end off a boom pole so you can point it down at a conversation.
the only question i have is "are these 3 types of mics the only ones that film makers use?"

bored and angry
This week i learned that people will let you down and you will have to film your entire project on Tuesday when it is due Friday after you go to work. I want to learn to be better at shading in Photoshop, but i will have to learn that on my own time. i am incredibly pissed off about having to film my project last second and having to change it completely, but shit happens. The only thing that made me happy this week was finding out my phones usb cord works with my drawing tablet so i can start inking some drawings.
here is the link to one of the tutorials i used to get better at drawing in Photoshop link

This movie better star Davque(Dave)!!!
Im going to start this blog by saying the title should not make sense, it would only make sense to a few people.
the only question i have is for the movie would they use an actually loged session of d&d or just make it up?
- First i learned that fantasy is getting big in the film business and some other businesses. This is surprising to me because i never really noticed this because im so used to fantasy because of all the video games i play.
- second i learned that D&D has made over $1,000,000,000. This is kind of shocking just because of that number. but on the other hand its not that surprising because i know its kind of popular, and i will be truthful and say i have played d&d and this article is right it has helped me inadvertently get better at math and problem solving.
- lastly i learned that they are thinking about making a d&d movie. this makes no sense because d&d is about how different each persons experience is while playing this game. There for this will just set a guideline in peoples mind of how d&d should be.
the only question i have is for the movie would they use an actually loged session of d&d or just make it up?
- First i learned that GIFs are one of the most popular things on the internet. This doesn't surprise me because they show peoples favorite moments in anything over and over.
- Secondly i learned that GIFs can be use to teach, because they keep showing you the same thing over and over so you have no choice but to notice something new each time and memorize it.
- Lastly i learned that cats are weird and should not be allowed to exist
the only question i have is what is with that cat is its jaw broken or is it just stupid?

this week i learned that always have a plan b for an actor because the first choice will let you down. I want to learn how i could take a 3d background from cheetah and put it into pro. I was happy to have finally have saved up the money to buy a cheep cannon camera. But i am pissed that i have only b roll fro my project because the person that was going to play the main character kept canceling on ms so i have to find someone who can play the main character last minute.

Facts about film making
First i learned that you could make a short film cheep but not look cheep. This smart because with money you save on big things you can take a small amount of it to do stuff for the crew and actors like hiring a chef. This is good because a happy crew is is an efficient crew, which makes the movie quality sky rocket.
Second i learned that when writhing you have to think of time and cost. like how long it will take a cgi artiest to make something and how much it will cost to make that thing. That is smart because a lot of shorts do not have extensive funding so they need to spend their money on scenes that matter to the movie and not just random b roll.
Lastly i learned that no matter what tell a story. even if that story is backed up with one hour and forty five minutes of bull shit still tell a story. The story is the most important thing, it is why people go see movies.
I am just wondering if these same rules apply to fetcher length movies.

Oppinions on film making
Well first off i learned that there are a lot of people that do not like CGI, Well that is there opinion. It does not mean everyone hates it so in my eyes this article is just stating opinions not facts. Personal i love the fact that cgi is used in movies. Yes it may not look real in some movies but in others it is used perfectly. For example the movie Avatar by James Cameron, The cgi in that movie was used great and that gust added to a good story. Those two factors caused it to be one of the top selling movies ever made, so clearly it did something right. plus film makers need to relize they cannot just make a movie and than put it into a 3d formant, NO they have to start making the movie for 3d and not just making it last second.
The second and only real thing i learned from this is that the hobbit was made with 48fps and not 24 fps. that is kind of impressive just because its twice as much animating
Lastly i learned that even if someone does not like a movie format that does not stop them from going to see it in that format. I mean really if this person hates 3d and cgi that much STOP GOING TO SEE THE MOVIES IN 3D, most of the movies that come out have a 2d showing of that same movie. so why not stop seeing the movies in 3d and just complaining about it and just go see the 2d version.
the only question i have is, Why are most internet movie critics so one sided to there own views, YES movie critics movies change in how they are made get over it change happens.
